Apple’s iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus Launched With Some Exciting Features!


As per our expectations, Apple has officially announced three new smartphones. These three include the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the next generation high-end device from Apple, the iPhone X. The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are the updated versions of iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Faster processor, true tone display, and camera upgrades are some points of differentiation between the updated version and the prior models.

After an emotional start at the Steve Jobs Theatre, Apple unveiled the future of smartphone for the next ten years. Tim Cook announced the launch of iPhone 8, the iPhone 8 Plus and the enigmatic iPhone X. The predictions from the rumor mill came true and the company came up with the launch of the next generation Apple watch 3 and new Apple TV 4K. The jump from iPhone 7 to iPhone 8 is pretty significant. The iPhone 8 models will continue the same rough design pattern which the company has been using since 2014 from the launch of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.


The Biggest Changes In iPhone 8 And 8 Plus

One of the biggest upgrades in iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus is a glass back to enable an internal charge. The inductive wireless charging is unable to work through the aluminum shell of the old model. Similar to iPhone 7, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack. Apple will use the widely used Qi charging standards, and it’s good news for those who already brought wireless chargers. There is some significant improvement in the display of the iPhone 8. The True Tone Technology to adjust the screen based on ambient light in the room to offer more accurate colors in included in iPhone 8.

Another major upgrade to iPhone 8 and 8 Plus is the processor. The company has included A11 Bionic in iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. A11 Bionic is a six-core chip with two performance cores, and it is 25 percent faster than the A10 and four performance cores which were 70 percent faster than the older model. Another upgrade in iPhone 8 is new Apple-designed GPU that is 30% faster than the older one.

12-megapixel camera sensor in iPhone 8 is larger and faster than the prior version of iPhone. Optical image stabilization in iPhone 8 is something which is making it different from the older one. The dual camera feature in iPhone 8 Plus has a portrait lighting features to adjust the lighting for portrait shots. Apple executive Phil Schiller suggests the new devices will have highest quality video capturing capability and support for 4K/60fps video. iPhone 8 will support Augmented reality with cameras calibrated for AR. A new gyroscope and accelerometer in iPhone 8 allow better motion tracking.

The iPhone 8 with 4.7-inch and iPhone 8 Plus with 5.5-inch feature glass front and rear. The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus both are water, and dust resistant and both are available in three different colors such as space gray, silver, and gold. These devices are capable of wireless inductive charging through Qi ecosystem. They can also charge wirelessly with two new wireless charging mats from Belkin and Mophie. Both devices feature a 12-megapixel camera, larger faster sensor and a new LED True Tone flash. Camera in the device will help the user to record 4K video up to 60 frames per second and 1080p slo-mo up to 240fps.

Both devices are available for pre-orders on 15 September. Both will be available in 25 countries all over the world by 22 September. They are available in different storage capacities, i.e., 64GB and 256GB. The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus with wireless charging and some modest gains will start at $699.

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are pretty much similar to their predecessors. New back cover coating in the glass is giving the devices somewhat a fresh look. Both have a sort of subtle opalescent effect and glossy, shiny and ultra-reflective look. Glass blending to the sides and subtle density to the glass give the devices a lot better look.
